Sloth: One of the seven deadly sins
A poem
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where,
I love you simply, without problems or pride:
I love you in this way because I dont know any other way of loving
but this, in which there is no I or you,
So intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand,
So intimate that when I fall asleep it is your eyes that close.

Pazhassi Raja: A movie as heroic as its hero
After a long gap I saw a movie in the theatre, which happens to be Pazhassi Raja. A visual treat indeed, the movie has a lot of interesting shots and has succeeded in capturing the beauty of Coorg. I dont have to mention the sound effects when they come from the winner of Oscar itself. But thinking back now on the movie, I can remember only a lot of battles and bloodshed. I knew I couldnt expect dancing-around-the-tree kind of romance in a historical movie like Pazhassi Raja. Still, the blood was shed quite a lot.
As for acting all of them were just great. I dont know who did better, Mammotty or Sarath Kumar. Both were wonderful, though my favorite in the movie is Sarath Kumar. I have a new-found respect for him now. I mean this must be his greatest performance in his whole career graph. Mammootty of course repeats his forte from Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha. In fact there is even a shot that reminds me of the old movie. When it comes to Padmapriya I totally agree with the director's choice of casting...she did total justice to the role. The rest of the star cast was also good, though the movie would've continued without a break even without Kaniha, who acted as Mammootty's wife. Maybe the director thought the audience needed a break from warfare and politics, which is why he added a song and some romance.
On the whole a memorable movie!

Book I have to read soon
Not that I am a big fan of Dan Browne. But the kind of mystery that he writes intrigues me. Which is why I need to read his The Lost Symbol soon. But to tell you the truth I was a little disappointed with The Da Vinci Code. Maybe b'coz I expected more. And the puritan in me doesnt like the idea of Christ being married. Oh, the things a Catholic school forces inside the head!

Two sites I check daily
Other than checking my mails there are two websites now that I check daily. I found them while I was trying to find some tips on the net to tackle with a long distance relationship. Anyway its good to check what happens to normal people daily, be it good or bad. My bRo says its something for jobless people. But then by now I should be totally immune to his teasing and most of the time I am. :-) So I'll continue reading them.
Movies I want to see
There are quite a few movies I want to see. After "Pazhassi Raja" what? is the question. Considering the fact that I used to watch a movie, sometimes even two, every weekend, I dont see movies at all now. Its become the boring once-in-a-while thing. Hope I could see these movies sooner or later with the DVD support. No other option, actually.

Opposites attract
Perhaps the only common element between us is the love for the colour blue. Everything else differs, right? Would you have married me if you knew that I was so different from you? Thinking about that, what made you actually marry me? I know your family had opposed a lot in the beginning since we are so far away.
Anyway, as the saying goes, the decision was made in heaven, right? :-)
